PHASE 1
Timeline: Same-day response. On-site consultation within 1 to 2 weeks.
We respond to every enquiry the same day – by phone, email or website form – and book your initial on-site consultation at a time that suits you.
Our estimator, Jacob, will visit your home to:
Assess your existing bathroom, ensuite or laundry
Discuss what you want from the renovation — function, style, must-haves and nice-to-haves
Inspect for any existing damage (water damage, structural issues, faulty workmanship from previous renovations)
Identify potential structural considerations you may not have thought about
Take detailed measurements
Talk through realistic budget ranges based on the scope you're describing
The initial consultation is complimentary and forms the foundation of your renovation quote.
PHASE 2
Timeline: Booked within 1 to 2 weeks of your on-site consultation.
The next step is your showroom appointment with our designer, Lexy. This is where your renovation starts to feel real – and where we see, feel and experience the product side of your quote to create your bathroom or laundry concept.
Over 1 to 2 hours in our purpose-built Mayfield West showroom, we’ll:
Talk through your style preferences and the aesthetic you want
Walk you through layout options for the room
Curate product selections — tiles, tapware, vanities, baths, shower screens, lighting, finishes
Explain trade-offs between options so your decisions are informed, not overwhelming
Show you complete bathroom displays for inspiration and comparison
Our designers specialise exclusively in bathroom and laundry design, so the product knowledge runs deep. We’ll guide you toward selections that suit your home, your budget and how the room will actually be used – not just whatever looks impressive in a showroom photo.
With your construction scope and product selections complete, our team prepares everything you need to make your decision.
PHASE 3
Timeline: Within 2 weeks of your showroom appointment.
Upon acceptance of your quotes, you’ll receive your full proposal in one package:
3D renders of your renovated bathroom, ensuite or laundry — so you can see exactly how the space will look before any work begins
Detailed plans showing layout, dimensions, plumbing, electrical and fixtures
Complete detailed quote covering construction and product selections
Contract detailing scope, inclusions, timeline, payment milestones and warranties
This is the stage where you can refine, change your mind, swap a product, adjust a layout. Once you sign the contract and plans, the design is locked in and we order materials.
For most clients, the 3D render is a highlight of the whole project. It’s the moment your dream bathroom becomes tangible – and the moment everything you’ve discussed across the previous phases comes together as one cohesive plan.
PHASE 4
Timeline: Build typically begins 2 to 8 weeks after contract signing. Most renovations completed in 3 to 5 weeks on site.
Before construction starts, your dedicated project manager will visit the site one week ahead of the build to:
Confirm logistics, deliveries and demolition schedule
Walk through site access, protection and noise considerations
Answer any final questions
Confirm the start date and daily site rhythm
Then construction begins. Throughout the build:
Your project manager runs the site daily and is your single point of contact
All trades are scheduled, coordinated and supervised by NBS — you don't manage anyone
We protect your home during demolition and construction
We keep you updated on progress, milestones and any decisions that need your input
We deliver the project on schedule and to the agreed scope
Most bathroom and ensuite renovations are completed on site in 3 to 5 weeks. Larger jobs, structural changes, or combined bathroom-and-laundry projects may run 6 to 8 weeks.
PHASE 5
Timeline: Final walk-through on completion.
Before we leave site, our estimator walks you through your finished renovation:
Demonstration of all fixtures, fittings and any specialist features (heating, ventilation, custom cabinetry)
Review of the maintenance pack - what to clean with, what to avoid, how to look after the new bathroom
Final defects walk-through and sign-off
Provision of all warranties, certificates and documentation
You also have a full two year general defects period, during which we return to address any issues that arise.
That’s it. Renovation done.
